Folklore
Folklore is a skilfully-woven tapestry of beautifully-detailed, colourful landscapes and characters, a gripping supernatural storyline and intuitive, motion-sensitive game-play. Folklore has been created exclusively for PLAYSTATION 3 by Tokyo's Game Republic studios under the guidance of the iconic Yoshiki Okamoto, Executive Producer of Resident Evil, Devil May Cry and Genji. The storyline sees Ellen, a young woman, on a quest to find the truth about her mother who has long been presumed dead. Meanwhile, Keats is a sceptical journalist working for ?Unknown Realms? magazine. The fates of this unlikely pair converge in the real Irish village of Doolin - a quaint, sleepy place which hides a secret gateway to the Netherworld and the answers to a 17-year old mystery. Ellen and Keats, both playable characters, must travel separately through seven vast realms inhabited by nightmarish creatures called 'Folks', whose powers they must harness if they are to survive.

Ellen: A young woman searching for her mother, Ellen summons Folks to fight for her from a distance, requiring a different approach to combat in the game.

Over 100 unique fantasy creatures (Folks), each with unique powers and abilities to capture ? enabling you to create your own combat strategy.

Gameplay can involve puzzle elements, such as working out how to capture a very fast Folk (players can use a different Folk that drops glue on the ground to slow it down). Defeating strong enemies may require the player to use a combination of individual Folk powers in order to open up and exploit their weaknesses.

Real-time combat with SIXAXIS  functionality takes players into the heart of the action. Fight using your chosen group of creatures, capturing new creatures and exploiting enemy weaknesses using your group?s unique abilities.

Comic-book style animated cut-scenes increase the atmosphere and drama of important events in the game.

Beautifully rendered CG movies bring key moments of the game to life.
